"Menzies has been in great form"
A topsy-turvy month for the Bradford Bulls ended on a high note with a victory over Harlequins which sees them sat in a play-off position after eight games.
Following the home victory against Castleford on February 19th, Bradford made it back-to-back wins with a hard-fought 7-0 victory away at Salford the following weekend. In the lowest-scoring game of 2010 so far, the visitors managed to eek out a win thanks in part to some appalling weather conditions and intuitive play by the Aussie duo Steve Menzies and Matt Orford. Menzies' try was the only one of the match and was complemented by Orford's penalty and drop goal in an encounter which was not easy on the eye but gave the Bulls the two points they needed. The Wigan Warriors journeyed to Bradford on Friday March 5th in a confident mood, having won all their opening matches, and looked certain to win the game after going in 20-0 up at half time following some excellent play.
However, the Bulls instigated one of the most dramatic fightbacks in Super League history to claim the win and leave the home crowd jumping for joy. Tries from Goulding, Richards, Hansen and Sam Tomkins had given the visitors a commanding lead at the break, but a verbal bashing from Steve McNamara appeared to do the trick as the Bulls rallied in the second half.
