Four defeats in a row are threatening to derail Bradford's season as injuries to key players begin to take their toll.
Bulls were hoping to bounce back from the West Yorkshire derby defeat to Leeds Rhinos by progressing in the Challenge Cup in a home tie against Warrington, but this season's Super League high flyers proved just too strong for the Odsal outfit on May 30th. Warrington had led 12-0 after Lee Briers and Ryan Atkins crossed Bradford's tryline, but Sheriffe and Halley reduced the deficit to just two points thanks to a couple of well-worked tries. A try for each side from Vinnie Anderson and Chris Nero ensured the Wolves went in 18-16 ahead at the break, and the visitors went further ahead when Chris Hicks scored a brace in the second half. Steve Menzies crossed over to bring Bulls within four points of the opposition, but Tony Smith's side held on to reach the semi-finals.
Bradford aimed to get their league campaign back on track at the Grattan Stadium on June 6th, but the visit of Huddersfield Giants resulted in one of the worst home defeats in the Bulls' history. The Giants trampled all over Bradford en route to a 52-6 win which was punctuated by nine tries from Huddersfield. The Bulls, sorely missing the influence of Matt Orford, Brett Kearney, Jamie Langley and James Donaldson, looked deflated at the final whistle.
A visit to Wrexham's Racecourse Ground failed to return the Bulls to winning
