The new home of Bradford’s best tribute shows, Low Moor Club welcomed Bob Marley tribute act Exodus on 22nd August. With the Jamaican sprinters cleaning up at the Olympics, it was only apt that the island’s most famous citizen (or, rather, his doppelganger) should take centre stage. Situated on Huddersfield Road, the once members-only venue is now open to all on tribute night, and has thrived since becoming synonymous with excellent live music. Exodus proved to be no exception to the rule, with a fine routine that included all the late reggae star’s hits such as Jammin’, Buffalo Soldier and the seminal No Woman, No Cry. The packed audience could be found singing along to many of the songs, and the reasonable bar prices ensured that many a merry drink was consumed in unison. The owners have clearly strived to maintain a high standard at the club, and the friendly service and overall layout of the facility were just two of the reasons why a return visit is now a certainty. It was evident from speaking to fellow guests that they regularly attended the venue, and with such a positive mixture of fine ales, a great atmosphere and quality live acts ranging from West Life to Madness, it was not hard to see why.
