Wibsey is bracing itself for a boom in well-dressed youngsters as a new children's clothing shop is to open on the high street. Sugar Plums, the village's newest business, will sell stylish, continental and designer clothing and footwear for ages ranging from babies to teens. Situated in the centre of the high street in the location of the former bakery, the building has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent months. Owner Amanda purchased the property in April last year and immediately embarked on a renovation process which has seen the rear of the building become houses, with the front now forming the retail space for Sugar Plums. Passers-by may have noticed the extensive refurbishment going on, and Amanda says they have been inundated with enquiries despite not being scheduled to open until 7th February!
"So many people have asked when we're scheduled to open," she chuckles, "There's not long to go now!"
